Average Retirement Income in the United States

According to the U.S. Census Bureau and U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median income for Americans 65 and older is $50,290. The average (mean) is $75,020. This same data shows more than half of Americans over age 65 live on an annual income of less than $30,000.
